Convicted pedophiles in Cyrpus can undergo chemical castration and skip their lifelong penalties under a new account.
According to the proposed regulations, sex offenders for children can submit an application to be released from prison early if they agree to be sterilized, which would lead to their sexual drives and fantasies eliminating.
The heavy call, which was proposed by Cypriot MP Micalis Yiacoumi of the Democratic Alignment Party to tackle an increase in child abuse, builds on the law of 2014 that obliged lifelong punishments for convicted pedophiles.
But as it looks now, a sex offender for children who have time behind ABRs can request early release after serving 12 years.
The proposed bill would increase the Mininum punishment to 18 years, with voluntary conditional for chemical castration.
'Parliamentary studies show that rapists of children often re -insult. If life imprisonment is not imposed, this extra fine is needed to prevent further crimes and the destruction of another child's life, “said Yiacoumi last month.
“It is unacceptable for them to serve such short penalties and to be released without strict limitations.”
Chemical castration is a medical treatment that reduces a person's libido by administering anti-and wantic medicines.

Convicted pedophiles in Cyrpus can make chemical castration under a new account under a new account

Parliament building in Nicosia, Republic of Cyprus, where a new bill for chemical castration for convicted pedophiles will be discussed
The procedure is already used in 12 European countries and is voluntary.
The process is considered the most successful when it is done in combination with psychotherapy, but this option is not always considered.
Although it is thought that chemical castration is reducing libido, it is controversial because it does not guarantee that a convicted person will not be driven again and it can have long -term effects on the health of the person.
The bill still has to be approved in Cyrpus and will be discussed in parliament at a later date.
But the proposal is expected to raise a series of complex issues, in particular around human rights.
The proposal comes months after Kazakhstan announced the massive chemical castration of 11 pedophiles in the midst of a campaign for the worst offenders to have their genitals surgical removed.
All men reportedly committed crimes against the sexual inviolability of minors' in the Kostanay region in the north of the country.
Details were not given of the cases, but the sex offenders of the child started to receive Violent Libido-Sapping injections.
Approval was given for the pedophiles to be caught 24 times a year for an annual cost of £ 278 each.
Kazakhstan has some of the most difficult laws in the world on pedophiles.
Official information is published about their addresses after release from prison, so that parents can understand where potential danger is lurking.
Yet there are claims that the laws are not sufficiently difficult.
