The police have identified another body part of the student who was found dead in a well last year, while the mystery around his death is getting deeper.
Texas A&M Second-year Caleb Harris, 21, was missing in March 2024 without his shoes, wallet or keys, and some of his remains were previously found in a 40-foot well close to his college apartment in Corpus Christi.
On Friday, medical examiners also identified a human rib that was discovered as Harris in a nearby recycling factory in December – but the police do not get closer to discovering what happened.
In the early hours of March 4 last year, Harris stepped down to collect an Uber Eats delivery in his apartment on the 1900 block of Ennis Joslin Road – but he never returned.
His roommate found the order outside the door of the apartment the next day. He was missing at 11 am.
Harris had spent the evening with a dog who had just bought one of his two roommates and sent Snapchats to his sister until just before he disappeared.
His Snapchat app pinged his last location in front of the entrance of the houses, a student housing outside the campus in Corpus Christi.
Uber said the order was delivered in front of the door of the apartment block in Ennis Joslin Road and there was no sign of Harris, whose telephone went dead seconds earlier.

“He disappeared a bit,” said his father Randy Harris after the disappearance, “there is no proof of misconduct, but there is no evidence at all.”
In the latest update, the Nueces County Medical Examiner office identified a human rib like Harris on Friday.
The rib was found in the Greenwood Water Recycling factory by a shocked city employee on December 2, 2024.
It came months after other body parts of Harris were found by another city employee who did routine maintenance work on a 40-foot deep well on the Perry Point Waste Water Extrollect Point in June 2024, said the police of Corpus Christi.
There were reportedly 'no clear signs' of murder and detectives are still stunned about what happened to Harris.

The police said it was possible that Harris was “damaged and then placed” in the sewer system, he would also have accidentally taken a tumbling in the manh.
The rib may have been transported to the recycling factory by accident in the midst of maintenance work.
The Harris autopsy report stated that his remains were already in an 'advanced state of decomposition and skeletonization' when they were discovered, making it difficult to determine what happened to the student.
“Although no significant traumatic injuries are identified, the condition of the remains could have covered subtle injuries and/or extra significant natural diseases,” the medical researchers went further and noted that his toxicology analysis came back negatively.
The medical researcher said that the 'exact details' about his cause of death remained unclear.
“The cause and the way of death are currently classified as indefinite,” they wrote. “If additional information becomes available in the future, the cause of and the way of death may be changed if necessary.”
