Democratic senator Cory Booker set up on the senate floor on the Senate floor on Monday to speak out against the policy of President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk.

New Jersey's legislator still speaks 24 hours later, while legislators and employees returned to Capitol Hill on Tuesday and went back to work.

The marathon speech was held praise by the democratic basis that the party has called to fight harder against the president's agenda.

Maga -loyalists described the symbolic movement at night as a waste of time because it serves as a performative delay, but the senate republicans do not block to push their agenda forward.

The marathon speech by Booker was not a technical filibuster, which is a long -standing senate practice to postpone or block a certain vote. The promotion was called 'bizarre' by conservatives.

But in a post before he started on Monday evening, the Senator from New Jersey said he was on his way to the floor “because Donald Trump and Elon Musk have shown a full contempt for the rule of law, the constitution and needs of the American people.”

Democratic senator Cory Booker started a marathon speech on the senate floor in protest against the Trump government on Monday evening. He still spoke more than 16 hours later on Tuesday

'Tonight I get up with the intention of having some good problems. I get up with the intention of disturbing the normal things of the Senate of the United States as long as I am physically capable, “he said at the top of his comments on the floor.

“I get up tonight because I sincerely believe that our country is in a crisis, and I do not believe that in a part -time sense because so many people who have reached my office in fear, have aware of their lives, as many identify themselves as Republicans,” he said.

The senator recorded a video in advance to post his social media while he spoke and his office kept updates to his current floor speech during the night cut.

During his comments, the senator read messages from Americans throughout the country, including one where he became emotional while shared the story of a person fighting the Parkinson's disease who called for the protection of social security.

Booker has also destroyed the Trump government because he insists on dismantling the Ministry of Education, imposing rates for the largest trading partners of the US and to promote tax cuts that benefit the richest Americans.

At another point, the senator read a news item that the Trump government wrongly deported a man from Maryland to a dangerous El Salvador prison because of an 'administrative error'.

During the night booker was assisted by democratic colleagues who came to the ground. While he survived them so that they could ask questions, it was able to keep control of the floor.

Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) Was to those who asked and stayed to support the efforts of the New Jersey legislator during the night.

While Booker continued to speak on Tuesday afternoon, he stepped from side by side in his black sneakers to illuminate the pressure after he was on his feet for so long.

Although Booker's action was not a technical filibuster, senators from both sides of the aisle held long speeches on the floor to draw attention to a message or block a mood because the rules of the room were established.

Senator Jeff Merkley (D-Oreg.) Asked a marathon speech during Trump's first term to protest against the appointment of Justice Neil Gorsuch of the Supreme Court.

In 2013, Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) Spoked more than 13 hours to postpone the appointment of CIA director John Brennan.

Senator Ted Cruz Las Dr. Seuss Memorable in September 2013 during his speech for more than 21 hours on the Senate floor while he faces Obamacare.

The longest filibuster on data was that of Senator Strom Thurmond (RS.C.) who spoke 24 hours and 18 minutes in an attempt to block the Civil Rights Act in 1957.

While Booker spoke, his name trending on social media began.

A Democratic strategist praised its efforts as a 'master class in how Democrats should fight now', while former Biden administration officer Neera Tanden called him a 'hero'.

'I welcome Sen Cory Booker for grabbing the senate floor to increase consciousness that what we experience of Trump and Doge is not normal. I encourage all Senate Democrats, including the Democratic Senator from Pennsylvania, to join him, “wrote Congesleman Brendan Boyle (D-Penn.) On X.

While Democrats praised and thanked Book for his efforts, conservatives were less impressed.

One user of social media claimed that he wasted his time, while the other called it a “bizarre form of protest” and wondered what he would achieve with it.
