A schoolgirl received a payout of £ 27,000 after she had sustained serious leg injuries at a fair.
The accident took place in 2022 during the Crazy Fun House Ride in the Barry Island Pleasure Park, Wales.
Formal legal proceedings were fueled, but the dispute lasted three years to be arranged, the lawyers of the 16-year-old said.
They claimed that the Pleasure Park had denied the responsibility for the girl's injuries and had initially constantly offered its low amounts of their legal team and insurers.
It is clear that Barry Island Pleasure Park has paid the settlement figure to the girl and her family, together with legal costs, but has not accepted any liability for what happened.
Andrew Collingbourne, lawyer for the family, of Robertson's Platitors, said: 'This case emphasizes the need for strict health and safety measures in public areas.
'The correct precautions had been, this accident could have been prevented. We believe that it is essential to draw public attention on these concerns, so that similar incidents can be avoided in the future. '
A family representative added: 'This was not only a small accident – it had lasting consequences. We hope that by bringing this issue to lighting other families will be aware of the risks and that stock market operators will take their responsibilities more seriously. '
