Three dead after bus and car crash near Heathrow Airport

Three people died in a horror crash between a car and a bus near Heathrow Airport.

The crash took place last night at 11.55 pm on Bedfont Road in Feltham, where the police arrived to set fire to both vehicles.

Three passengers in the car were declared dead on the spot, brought to the hospital with a fourth.

Two passengers on the bus, an H26 service on the way to Hatton Cross, were also taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not considered life threatening.

Other passengers were treated for injuries by paramedics on site.

London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

LFB assistant commissioner Paul McCourt said: 'The thoughts of everyone within the brigade are with the families affected by this tragic incident.

'I want to thank our crews and emergency services for the determination and dedication they showed when responding to this difficult situation.

“The brigade will speak with our firefighters who are where necessary and offer support through our counseling and trauma pits.”

Firefighters sent crews of Feltham and Heston stations and De Brand was out on Tuesday at 1.41 am.

Roads in the area remain closed while the police investigation continues.
