Actress Sian Barbara Allen, a staple of the television of the 70s, died at the age of 78.
The actress, who played in popular shows such as the Waltons, died on Monday from Alzheimer's disease in Chapel Hill, NC, according to an online death advertisement.
Her sister confirmed her death through a message on Facebook and wrote: 'My great sister, actress Sian Barbara Allen died peacefully today after a long illness. This loss is too difficult. '
Allen, was born in Reading, PA on July 12, 1946, studied her profession in the Pasadena Playhouse from 1964.
The versatile actress was a familiar face on television from 1971 with her appearance on aka Smith and Jones.
Later she was performances on Gunsmoke, the FBI and the popular love, American style.

All is survived by her daughter, Gelblum, her sisters, Hannah Davie and Flash Fiction author Meg Pokrass, grandson Arlo Fonseca and Neef Miles Bond.
