A British couple was found dead in a clear suicide of their property in New Zealand, the police revealed today.
The couple was found late on Monday after the police forced themselves in a building that they rent on Palliser Road, in Roseon, the Shore Front region in Wellington.
Detective inspector Haley Ryan said they were contacted by a family member who deals with their well -being.
The police told MailOnline that they could not confirm the identity of the deceased until the coroner's report is completed.
The male partner reportedly lived and worked in New Zealand, while she had settled with him in December, a neighbor told the local media.
It is believed that he worked in the academic world at universities in Great -Britain and New Zealand, while working as a teacher.
The couple had adult children who live in the country and had considered moving to Otago to be closer to them, the neighbor said.
In the aftermath of their death, the couple was described by their landlord as “passionate about being in NZ and giving their families the experience to live here.”

“Both she and their families lived life to the completely full and were always planning or always made great adventures,” said the landlord about “my British lodgers.”
“He was a smart, caring, charming man. She was lively, friendly, intelligent and both made friends wherever they went. They were both absolutely great people. '
'They were both such positive and incredible parents, friends and members of many communities.
'We send our love and condolences to them [family] And friends. '
The police said they supported the family.
Neighbor Paul Prestidge said local media that the couple was 'very friendly people', with whom he would have dinner.
He said the couple had a son who did not live with them.
Prestidge said he believed that the woman might have been a teacher, although this was not officially confirmed.
He said he remembered that he saw the couple the week before the last, but did not remember if he had seen them more recently.
Neighbor Emma Prestidge told Radio New Zealand that they had moved from London.
'I understand that they had finally packed their lives in London and all their things were in a shipping container, and they were a bit looking to move here forever.
“They were … in the next phase of their lives, I think, and ready to set up a bit for the next part of their chapter that … is really sad.”
The police are still asking and told the locals that they are expecting an increased presence in the area.
They said they were not looking for someone else in connection with the dead.
It is not currently known how the British pair died, but Detective inspector Haley Ryan of the New -Zeeland police said: “I want to offer the certainty that there is no constant risk for the Roseon community.”
A spokesperson for the FCDO said last night: “In this case we were not approached for consular aid, but our employees are ready to support the British nationals overseas 24/7.”
A statement from the New -Zeeland police read: 'We continue to appeal to anyone who can have information that can help our questions, and everyone with residential CCTV who records traffic movements in the Roseon area, in particular on Palliser Road and the surrounding streets, to contact the police.
