A father who appeared on Channel 5Show was imprisoned today for killing his daughter – 11 years after she shook her violently as a baby.

Kyle Kitchen, 38, attacked eight weeks old Primrose Kane in their flat in Camden, Northwest London on November 3, 2014.

Primrose, who was deeply disabled and placed under the care of her grandmother, died on May 17, 2021 when she was six.

Kitchen was sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum duration of 17 years today, but he has been in prison for attacking his daughter for nine years.

He will therefore serve a remaining seven years, eight months and 12 days of the minimum term that he has been handed over today.

Kitchen was warned by the police for the lake than once to put his partner Kenzey Kane around the face while she held Primrose when she was only three weeks old.

He was subsequently convicted of serious physical injury on Primrose in 2016, while former charity worker Kane was convicted of causing or serious injury to a child and jokes.

The couple in the Channel 5 -documentary 'The discussed' filmed in 2017 during their trial, which emphasized the jealousy of Kitchen about the attention his baby was given by Kenzey.

Kyle Kitchen, 38, attacked Primrose Kane in their flat in Camden, Northwest London, on November 3, 2014

Kane claimed that her friend had called their daughter a 'greedy C ***' and sent her an SMS message in which it was admitted that his daughter was not safe in his care days for the attack in 2014.

Kitchen was accused of murder after the death of his daughter in 2021.

He still denied attacking his daughter during a trial earlier this year and cried when he told the court that he carried out CPR at Primrose when she stopped breathing.

“I would die for my little girl, I swear that I don't know what happened,” he said.

Kitchen was asked for a message on the Facebook page of Kenzeey entitled “My confession about Primrose.”

In the post he said: 'She is unwell because I shook her and made sure she stopped breathing.

“Whether I can deliberately say.

'I am a very crushed person and the police can use this as proof because I don't care because I will take my life as soon as I am convicted because I earn that.

“I am a child abuser and Kenzeey did nothing that little girl.”

Kitchen said the post was not true and claimed that he had made up because the Kenzeey family accused him of shaking the baby after expert reports suggested that the baby had been shaken.

He said: 'The intimidation, essentially bullying of several parties about new reports that came out with these shaken Baby syndrome theory and I am constantly bombed, that is why this message took place.

“I was bombed like the whole time that I am in a very difficult emotional state, I am a homeless pillar to post in my head that is supported by a mental health care team.”

Wearing a checked shirt kitchen showed no emotion because he was imprisoned for life today.

Mr. Justice Murray said: 'Unless and until you acknowledge what you have done to your daughter, we will never know how or exactly when you have attacked Primrose.

'Although Primrose had survived her attack, she suffered as a result of her injury complex and deep disability for the rest of her life.

'She was admitted to the hospital several times.

'Her quality of life was very low.

He added: “You have never shown a regret or accepted responsibility for the death of Primrose.”

Public Prosecutor Jenny Burgess said that the incident may have arisen because the kitchen became frustrated because he could not stop crying Primrose.

She said Kitchen and Kenzeey were disagreements about the care of Primrose and the kitchen felt that she did not trust him with the child.

Jane Bickerstaff, KC, defensive kitchen, said it is normally 'fatigue or frustration', so that a parent loses the plot a few moments'.

'Although the damage caused is always at the highest level that one may imagine, the fault of these situations is usually at a relatively low level compared to other types of murder.

'There is usually no pre -pressure and there is no evidence that was here.

'The reason that the defendants have so much trouble admitting and acknowledging what happened is because the consequences are so horrible and it is difficult to accept- and they have to live with it for the rest of their lives.

“He loved that little girl with everything he had and he had to live with the suffering she suffered.”

She said Kitchen spoke with Primrose daily while he was in prison.

Mrs Bickerstaff said that Kitchen and Kenzeey were two immature individuals who were not fully equipped, because of their own shortcomings, background and demons, to expect both a baby and society. '

She said it was a 'poisonous relationship' on both sides.

Mrs. Bickerstaff said that Kitchen has taught people English in prison and has been trained by Samaritans to listen to other prisoners when they go through a difficult time.

He was recently diagnosed with ADHD.

Public Prosecutor Jennifer Knight, KC, said earlier that Primrose was born on September 6, 2014.

'Kyle Kitchen and Kenzey Kane had a relationship for a little more than a year when Kenzey Kane became pregnant with Primrose. She was their first child.

'It is fair that the relationship between often was fleeting.

'On September 29, 2014, when Primrose was only three weeks old, Kyle Kitchen was arrested and warned about a common attack after an argument about the crying of Primrose, in which Kyle Kitchen Kenzey Kane hit around the face, while holding Primrose.

'In the first weeks of Primrose's life, the grandparents of Kyle Kitchen Anne and Ernest Kitchen saw the few times with Primrose.

'They noticed that as the weeks progressed, the couple seemed to be more and more irritable with each other and it seemed to them that Kyle Kitchen liked to have control over how things were done with Primrose.

'On Sunday, November 2, they spent the day with Kenzey Kane and Primrose.

'Anne Kitchen noted that Kenzeey seemed a bit confused and rather unorganized, which she thought was unusual.

'As soon as Kenzeey Kane came home, she and Kyle Kitchen were only the rest of November 2, 2014 with their daughter Primrose.

'At 5.54 am on November 3, 2014, Kenzey Kane 111 called.

“She told The Call Handler that Primrose had pulled her head and had made strange movements and sounds during the night and she said she was very floppy now and that they couldn't wake her up.

'During that call, Kyle Kitchen can be heard in the background and Kenzey Kane tells that Primrose has blood on her nose and that she does not breathe.

'The Call -Handler started to give instructions for CPR and paramedics arrived at 6.03 am and found Primrose Floppy and not responding. She didn't breathe and she had a very slow heartbeat.

'The paramedics started to resuscitate, but Primrose remained unconscious.

'She was taken to the Royal Free Hospital and on arrival there was received and treated by the Pediatric Team in the Emergency Department.

“They continued to resuscitate and managed to restore her heartbeat. Primrose was intubated, ventilated and stunned.

'A CT scan was performed that revealed a skull fracture in the left parietal area with corresponding swelling of soft tissue.

'Kyle Kitchen and Kenzey Kane were told that Primrose had sustained a serious brain injury, but neither of them offered any explanation for the injuries of Primrose. Kenzeey Kane said, “It's not like we've beaten her or something.”

Primrose was transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital and further scans found extensive injuries at the head.

She was fired on December 16, 2014 and placed in the care of her grandmother Maria Kane.

Primrose's injuries left her a complex and in-depth constant neuro-deadness.

“She was a seriously disabled child from the moment she was injured,” said the public prosecutor.

“A large multidisciplinary team of health care professionals was needed to manage Primrose's condition.”

Experts discovered that the injuries of Primrose were and were caused by '' powerful shaking in combination with an impact with a kind of unyielding surface or object that her skull had broken. '

Kitchen and Kane were arrested on November 4, 2014 and were at BlackFriars Crown Court two years later.

Kitchen was convicted of two violations of causing serious physical injury with the intention of Primrose's broken skull and brain injury.

He was imprisoned for 18 years in 2015 for causing GBH with the intention of Primrose that was reduced to 15 years in 2016.

He had to be released for seven and a half years and was about to be released when he was arrested again and returned to prison when Primrose died.

Kane was convicted of causing or allowing serious injury to a child and child abuse and imprisoned for three and a half years.

Primrose had developed several neuro development and physical problems, including cognitive delay, cerebral palsy and an inability to communicate verbally.

In 2016, the seriousness of its condition led to the implementation of a non-resuscitated order.

'Despite her in -depth handicap, Primrose was trained at Willow Dene School in Plumstead, a special school for children with complex learning and development needs from the age of almost three years old until her death.

'Primrose's chief teacher Rachel Harrison described Primrose as a characterful child.

'At the end of April 2021, Primrose was included in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with a breast infection. She was treated with antibiotics and was allowed to return home the next day.

“By May 2021 she seemed to have recovered from her chest infection.

'Maria Kane noticed that her breathing had deteriorated, but she thought that was due to the progression of Primrose's, now very serious scoliosis that hinded her lung function.

'On the night of May 16, 2021, Primrose slept as usual with Maria Kane in her double bed.

'A bit after midnight Maria Kane Primrose gave her hink and the couple fell asleep at around 1 am.

'Just before 5 am on May 17, 2021, Maria Kane woke up and she immediately noticed that Primrose was quiet and her usually noisy, difficult way did not inhale.

“Touching her face, Maria Kane discovered that Primrose was cold and realized that she didn't breathe.

“Paramedics were present, but because of the DNR order they made no attempt at resuscitation.”

Kitchen has convictions for burglaries and theft between 2008 and 2016.

Kitchen, formerly from Queens Crescent, Camden, denied but was convicted of murder.
