Philadelphia 76ers superstar Joel Embiid will undergo knee operation next week after he has previously been excluded for the rest of the season.
Embiid, who fought many seasons during his NBA career, was excluded in February for the season due to a knee problem.
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Embiid is now under the knife after consultation with doctors and team officials about the best step for his career.
A former NBA most valuable player, the career of Embiid is decorated. But he also tackled his time in the association with many injuries.
He started his time in the NBA after he was prepared from Kansas, but did not play his first year after scans discovered a broken Navicular bone in his foot.
Embiid missed the entire 2014-15 season, then the entire 2015-16 season after it was revealed that his recovery lasted longer than expected-which led to a second operation.
