While the debate about what is under the Giza pyramids of Egypt, the scientists in the center of the dispute shared new details that they think critics will remain silent.
The row began when Italian researchers said they used radar pulses to map more than 4000 feet under the Khafre pyramid, to find huge shafts, rooms and a possible 'vast city'.
Independent experts claimed that technology could not reach depths and considered the findings as 'unscientific' and 'bizarre'.
Filippo Biondi, who specializes in radar technology, told DailyMail.com: 'Most [people are] convinced that we use radar to scan under the earth [and] That is completely false. '
He explained that they gathered acoustics from deep in the ground, including seismic waves, noise of human activity and photo interactions, to map the newly found axes and rooms that extend more than 2000 feet under the surface.
Biondi said these waves were collected by Radar, in particular by analyzing Doppler -Centroid abnormalities – links or distortions in frequency patterns used to detect underground structures or changes.
Professor Lawrence Conyers, a radar expert at the University of Denver, who specializes in archeology and was not involved in the study, still caused doubts.

Biondi, May and Corrado Malanga of the Italian University of Pisa announced the discovery last month that stormed the world.

Biondi and May, however, spoke with DailyMail.com to clean up misconceptions about their methods.
Biondi said that he and his team can extract acoustic information from the earth by analyzing Doppler abnormalities in the synthetic radar data, similar to how a microphone records sound.
“With a historical report of the acoustic data of the earth, we can apply a technique called Tomographic Inversion, which is based on the Fourier transformation,” he added.
“This allows us to make detailed scans of underground structures.”

Researchers believe that there are other structures that reach more than 4000 feet below the surface. The collected structures extend along the north side with a coordination fork shape
The images captured eight falling wells, each with a diameter of 33 and 39 feet and extending of at least 2,130 feet under the surface.
The results also revealed pedaly structures that wrap themselves around each of the wells that connect to two massive rectangular housings in the middle.
Each room measured approximately 260 feet per side.
During a newsletter last week, the team also announced the discovery of a water system under the platform, with underground paths that lead even deeper into the earth.
They stated that unknown room -like structures under this system can be part of a hidden city.

May explained that the theory of the lost city is based on ancient Egyptian texts, in particular Chapter 149 of the Book of the Dead, which refers to the 14 homes of the city of the dead.

The researchers hope to obtain permission from the Egyptian authorities to dig up the Giza plateau and to validate their findings – possibly rewrite human history.
