A teacher is banned from the classroom for life after a 17 -month imprisonment before 'taking care of' two schoolgirls.
Luke Berry, 36, worked on the Joyce Frankland Academy in Essex when he committed two sexual offenses against girls under the age of 18.
He wrongly touched a female student five times between September and October 2020 before sending awkward messages to another child between June and October of the following year.
He worked at the mixed 11-18 high school from September 2017 to May 2022 when he resigned.
After two arrests in 2021 and 2022, in February 2024, he argued guilty of Colchester Magistrates court to enter into sexual communication with a child and sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 17 years.
He was sentenced to a total punishment of 17 months in prison, Placed at the Kinderszekerlineerregister for life and issued an order of sexual damage for ten years.
On January 7, 2022, the police referred the case to the education regulation agency.
A hearing of professional behavioral panel took place on March 27 this year.

The panel noted that the actions of Berry 'were' very relevant to teaching, working with children and working in an educational environment 'and the violations were committed against two students.
The report said that his behavior had an impact on the safety and security of students and Berry's immediate imprisonment was 'indicative of the severity of the violations'.
Last year the main teacher of the Joyce Frankland Academy of Newport sent an e -mail to parents, which stated that he was 'deeply disappointed and disgusting' by the actions of Berry.
In the court, the judge said the judge: 'The attempts to normalize your behavior or show conversations that this had been calculated. It was care behavior.
“I am very concerned that you do not yet appreciate the substantial serious effects that your behavior had on these young women.”
The judge said that Berry was 'unable to acknowledge' that he felt sexually attracted to children and the pre-sentence report rated him as a high risk of damage to children.
Berry has been banned to teach life and cannot request that this will be withdrawn.
