The hottest real estate markets of 2025 are surprising in the suburbs of Midwest.
Cities such as Chicago, Kansas City and Detroit have risen in popularity in recent years due to the low house prices compared to the rest of the US. That in turn led to the prices that rise in those cities.
“Many buyers now broaden their search for the suburbs after they are priced from popular urban areas in the midwest,” says Redfin Chief Economist Daryl Fairweather.
“These neighborhoods are generally a ride of 15-20 minutes to the city center of a metro-a reasonable commuting for employees and have easy access to shopping, popular schools and recreational activities.”
Houses sell faster than a year ago in each of the 10 most popular neighborhoods, with many houses that also deal with the price of the price, which appeals to offering bids between potential buyers.
One reason for this is that the much-needed neighborhoods have more requirement than inventory, where many of these midwest cities post a decrease in active entries from a year ago.
“That means more eyeballs in the houses that are mentioned,” says Redfin's report.
'Bidding ears can be common in these areas-in particular houses that are well priced, ready for moving and desirable locations, near water, good schools,' Fairweather tells DailyMail.com.
These emerging hotspots in the suburbs see the demand for home buyers and competitive bids because they are all affordable, have good vacancies and offer strong local facilities.

Among the top ten of the most popular markets are several neighborhoods in the Midwest, including Jenison, Mi, not far from Grand Rapids, where the median selling price is $ 356,500. Almost one in four houses sold passed and early after the bids came in.
'Jenison is only 15 minutes for the center of Grand Rapids, where you can catch a game or a show, but it feels almost rural – there is a lot of green space to move and grow, the local Redfin agent Christine Kooiker said.
'The taxes are low, the country is affordable and the wider township in Georgetown is very open to new development. Every time I pass by, I see a new subdivision that is half ready. '
Jenison is also only two and a half hours away to Chicago and Detroit.
Another Illinois area that is a lot of demand is Campton Hills and St. Charles, IL, where the median prize of a house is $ 615,000. So far, this year, 36 percent of the aforementioned houses have been sold above the asking price.
Campton Hills is a rural neighborhood 50 miles west of Chicago. Downtown St. Charles is just a few minutes away and offers numerous restaurants and entertainment options.
“It feels like almost every house on the market in Campton Hills and St. Charles has several offers,” says local agent Cynthia Stolfe.
