A man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drugs riding after a tractor with a large tank in two houses crashed during a collision with a car.
The police were called to the A51 on Tuesday at about 6.35 am on Vicars Cross Road in Chester, Cheshire.
Officers discovered that the tractor had collided with a Mercedes car and then plowed into the front of the two houses.
Extensive damage was caused to both semi-free properties, including the collapse of outside walls, but no one was injured.
A 52-year-old man from Boughton, the driver of the Mercedes, was arrested, but has since been released pending further questions, said Cheshire's police.
The drivers of the two vehicles were brought to the countess of the Chester Hospital as a precaution, but have since been released.
