The parents of a six -year -old girl who fell due to cliffs until her death have said that their world is now 'quiet' during a heartbreaking speech at her funeral with a purple theme.
Airlie Montgomery fell from a rockrand just 600 meters from her house in Noord -Nowra, on the NSW South Coast, after she walked out of the front garden on the afternoon of Sunday 16 March.

In a statement, parents Corey Montgomery and Katess said that they were the 'people who understood their own small world of Airlie'.
“It is quiet now, I never thought I would miss the chaos of our days: continuously fighting for attention, late nights and meltdowns, mess and chaos,” they said.
'And yet, how do I long for it. The normality of our lives was far from normal. '
He said that he often considered himself and his partner to be alone in raising Airlie, but the response of the community has left him 'awe'.

Mr. Montgomery was six hours away and worked on a mine site, when his daughter was missing, but at least 1,000 locals came out of their houses to help look for Airlie.
“Airlie tested us, but she also taught us,” he said.
