The Charity Commission said it opened a case in 'concern' about Sentebale, who stopped Prince Harry as a patron of last week in the midst of a boardroom struggle.

The Charity Commission said today that it would speak with people who had complained about the way Sentebale was run.

“The regulator for charity institutions in England and Wales has opened a regulatory compliance case to investigate the concern about the charity Sentebale,” said a spokesperson.
'The Charity Commission now has direct contact with parties who have expressed concern to collect evidence and to assess compliance with charity and managers in the past and present with their legal duties.
'The focus of the regulator will, in accordance with his legal assignment, to determine whether the current and former managers of the charity, including the chairman, have fulfilled their duties and responsibilities under the charity. The committee is not a referee or mediator and is led by the principle to ensure that managers fulfill their primary duty to their charity and beneficiaries.
'After a period of assessing the initial concerns that have been raised with the Commission, the supervisor informed the charity on 2 April 2025, it opened a regulatory compliance case. The supervisor has not made any findings at the moment. '
