A teenager has appeared before the court accused his father and tries to kill a woman and a boy.
Fabio Botros, 19, was arrested after Emad Botros-Farag was found in his house with catastrophic injuries.
The 57-year-old was later declared dead. A woman and child were also found in the building with serious injuries.
The woman and the child were taken to the hospital where they were treated for their injuries before they were fired last night.
Today Botros appeared at the court of Brighton Magistrates, where he was accused of one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
With a gray sweatshirt and gray jogging pants, the 19-year-old from Hollingbury, Brighton only spoke to confirm his name and address and he was taken into custody.

The incident happened on Tuesday morning at Hartfield Avenue, Hollingbury, shortly after 7 a.m.
Residents called emergency services after hearing loud shouts and shouting at a house.
Police and paramedics hurried to the stage where they found Mr Botros-Farag that suffered from extensive wounds.
Officers arrested the 19-year-old close to the building and took him in custody before recovering two knives and a hammer.
Botros was taken into custody and will appear for Lewes Crown Court tomorrow.

Detective -Head inspector Mark Cullimore of the Sussex police said: “This was a shocking and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the affected and their loved ones.
'Because of our initial questions, it has been established that the victims and the suspect are known together and that the weapons involved are considered two knives and a hammer.
“We acknowledge the impact that this incident has also had on the local community, and we want to reassure members of the public that charges are now protected and we are not looking for someone else in connection with this investigation.”
