LSU Women's College Basketball Star and 2023 National Champion Flau'jae Johnson will abandon the 2025 WNBA concept and, according to several reports, will remain at school for the coming season.
Johnson, a guard, stays in Baton Rouge under head coach Kim Mulkey in a movement that was first reported by athletics.
She has been eligible for another year in the basketball of the university and had to announce her decision to enter the design on Monday.
However, because of the progression from LSU to the elite eight of the NCAA basketball tournament of 2025, she was allowed to make a decision 48 hours after the elimination of her team.
In the elite eight to no. 1, LSU lost general sperm UCLA – so that Johnson was given on Tuesday until midnight to make a decision.
The resident of Georgia has spent her entire university career at LSU and all signs indicate that she will stay there for next season.

Johnson will be 22 later this year, so that she would be eligible for the WNBA design -despite not completing four full college seasons.
In the past season, Johnson was appointed as the All-SEC first team and was also named a third team All-American.
If Johnson does indeed return to play for the Tigers, she will be the number 1 player in a team that loses a lot of star power.
On the way to the WNBA concept, Junior Center Sa'Myah Smith is advancing Anesah Morrow, and the transfer portal and colleague defense half Shayeann Day-Wilson is graduating.
That said, teammate Mikaylah Williams will return for a third season and LSU currently has the best recruitment class in the nation.
Her design stock rose after a series of controversial women's basketball star announced that they would leave the concept and return to school.
Notre Dame Guard Olivia Miles, expecting the second general choice in this year's WNBA design, announced that she would return to university – but would enter the transfer portal.
In addition, UConn -guard Azzi Fudd -announced a projected top -tien -pick -that she would return to Connecticut for a different season.
