Progressive leaders are quietly on their way to the radical series of the transgender movement, but don't be fooled.
They have not yet reversed the course in one of their most shameful positions.
The brutal political reality for Democrats is that more than 70 percent of Americans simply do not support their extreme positions, such as the taxpayers financed gender surgeons and the medical medicines of gender dysphoria for minors with off-label cancer medicines (Puberteitstblokkers), Cross-sex-Hormones.
But the left had to learn that the hard way in the 2024 elections, when liberal and moderate voters – many of them annoyed parents – Kamala Harris handed over a devastating election default.
Now the message is unmistakable: enough is enough.
Even the Californian Governor Gavin Newsom-out one of the loudest champions of 'gender-confirming care' principle.
He has withdrawn from his full -length support for the right of biological men to compete in women's sports. And he has soften his rhetoric about the role of the state in subsidizing gender transitions for minors.
However, these are political concessions, not moral awakening.

Even the Californian governor Gavin Newsom, once one of the loudest champions of 'gender-confirming care', the course correction begins.
Make no mistake for a full settlement.
Because Newsom and others like he refuse to still make way about the issue that drove so many parents, like me, to conclude that the Democratic Party had left us: the issue of parental rights.
On Real -time With Bill Maher last weekend, Newsom doubled his support for the 'Safety Act' of California, which he signed in the law in July.
The law prohibits schools from demanding their staff to inform parents or ask their child to switch to school at school.
A social transition is the process in which a person – in this case a minor – asks to be tackled by a name or a series of pronouns that they believe is more accurate in accordance with their 'gender identity'.
Social transitions in school environments can also include a child who asks to use bathroom facilities that are usually associated with the opposite sex.
Why does this matter?
Because social transition can be a step towards medical transition and life-changing consequences.
Puberte-Blokkers-Oorspronge developed to treat prostate and breast cancer used to stop natural development in children, with long-term effects that are not fully understood.
The risks we know are alarming: reduced brain and bone development and the inability to ever experience sexual function or orgasm.
Cross-sex hormones have similar risks, including cardiovascular problems and sterility.
There must have been dangers of deep psychological pain – something “detansitioners” – those who feel repentant about their transitions – are now talking about in growing numbers.
And these are not border cases. These are often young women who wear scars from a medical system claim to quickly rearrange them in irreversible procedures without fully exploring the root causes of their need.
But this is what Newsom said that Maher asked him if he still supports the 'safety act'.
“I think teachers should teach. I don't think they should be needed to hand in children. '
I'm sorry, governor? 'Turn children in'
To be clear: California's 'Safety Act' is not about protecting children against insulting houses, as many of its supporters claim. There are already mandatory reporting laws in public schools to help children imprisoned in those tragic situations.
Let us call this law what it is: progressive ideological over -range that undermines family unit, parental responsibility and healthy child development. And it should be a dealbreaker for every parent, regardless of political convictions.
As a mother, and if someone who believes that the family is the foundation of a stable society, I find the idea of cutting parents out of the comparison, not only mind bombing, but also outrageous and completely unacceptable.
If a child is considering a gender crossing, I would say that this is the moment that the attention of a parent is the most important. In secret validating the sex dysphoria of a child gives them no space – it is possible to rob the guidance they need to find things out.
And here the attitude of Newsom is going very crazy.
He knows it is turning. He has seen the lawsuits. He has heard the story of 'detansitioners'. And he knows that most of the country is no longer on board.
But when it comes to reconsidering 'transgenderism' in schools, he is immobile.
Why?
Let's face it: transgenderism – especially one of the most privileged is apparently appreciated. It was made to be fashionable. And far too many children, and to be honest, are able to cash in by politicians who wanted to cash the craze – treated the phenomenon with shocking naivety.
Those are the people where Governor Newsom provided himself when he signed the 'Safety Act' in the law.
It seems to me that transgender identity – especially among children – was allowed to spread through social contamination in many progressive circles. And indeed, transgenderism in children corresponds to Hollywood.
Now I do not suggest that every trans-identifying youth is pretending. But I really believe that parents should be deeply skeptical about the sudden increase in gender dysphoria in children, especially among adolescent girls, who are more susceptible to social mimicry, identity struggle and emotional need than guys.

In the past there have been similar waves of social contamination with eating disorders and self -harm. Just like past waves, it has serious medical consequences and it also comes a built-in ideological defense: ask, and you have been labeled a bigot.
This is confronted, a bridge seems to be too far for suddenly moderate Gavin. So let its strategic shift not fool you.
If he, or a politician like him, wants to be seen as a credible, principle leader instead of just a smooth opportunist, he has to do much more than his rhetoric again.
He must confront a dangerous ideology that has held links that many people are now deeply committed to and one that concerns our children.
There is still time – for Newsom, for Democrats, for anyone who is complicit in this betrayal – to turn the course. But it requires more than optics and spider. It requires moral courage. It requires that they face the parents they have misled and admit: we were wrong.
Until then, the message to parents is loud and clear: your role is optional, your voice is disposable and your children are political pawns. And that is unforgivable.
