A man was arrested on suspicion of murder after a 20-year-old was stabbed to death near a pier in a resort aan Zee.
The police responded yesterday at 9,411 hours to reports of a stabbing near the Pier in the Esplanade, in Bognor Regis.
A local man, 20, was transferred to the Royal Sussex County Hospital Brighton, but unfortunately he died of his injuries in the early hours of this morning.
His relatives are informed and supported by specialized officers.
A 31-year-old man who lives in Bognor Regis was arrested in a house in the city of West Sussex on suspicion of murder today.
He stays in custody, according to the Force.

Superintendent Adele Tuckknott said: 'I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family of this young man, who lost his life in such tragic circumstances, and reassuring the audience that we have a suspect in detention.
'We are in the very early stages of our research to determine the exact circumstances of what happened, and we urge everyone who has seen it or have recorded something on the camera to come forward.
