A young cowboy met a horrible end when a bull stepped in his neck and tragically killed him during a Rodeo competition in Texas.
Dylan Grant, 24, was a fearless real-life cowboy and participated in professional Bull riding events throughout the country before his early death.
On Thursday evening he competed in an Xtreme Bulls event at the Wharton County Fair in Wharton, about an hour south of Houston, when he was dropped off by a bull named Commander.
He suffered a serious injury when the bull trampled him, but doctors hurried to stabilize him and he was transported to a hospital by a helicopter.
Despite attempts to save his life, the Young Cowboy died in Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association confirmed.
“The PRCA would like to send his thoughts and prayers to the family of Bull Rider Dylan Grant, friends and the entire Rodeo/Bull Riding Community,” the association wrote.
The father of Grant, Wade, said ABC News that his son's neck had resigned after the bull had dropped him off, but he was still able to get up and get out of the Arena for help.

The announcer of the event, Robert Blue Jeanes, told Cowboy State Daily, which Grant was the last rider of the night and about 2500 people witnessed the traumatizing moment when a bull trampled the young Cowboy.
Jeanes told the outlet that it seemed as if Grant's hand got stuck in the rope and he fell under the bull.
He added that it can be difficult for doctors to live immediately to bull riders after being injured, because the bull is still in the arena.
However, because Grant was able to get up and taken to a hospital, Jeanes said he had hoped that the young Cowboy could survive.
“We are just upset,” Jeanes told the publication. 'Sad and heartbreaking for the child and the family. For everyone who was there, it was just terrible. '
Grant was a member of the PRCA since 2024 and earned more than $ 3,760 and more than $ 15,000 since he started to compete, according to his red profit.
He became 15th in the Dixie National Rodeo in Jackson, Mississippi, in February and walked away with $ 367.
In January he won $ 932 for placing the 5th in the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo in Denver, Colorado, while he was on a bull named Smokin Joe.

Grant came from Laramie, Wyoming and graduated from the University of Wyoming, where he participated in the Rodeo team of the school.
He won the title on the Mountain States Circuit Finals Rodeo in 2021 while competing at a collegial level.
“We are deeply sad about the news of his death and our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,” the university said in a statement.
“He was a real Wyoming Cowboy.”
Wyoming Senator Cynthia Lummis also fought Grant, Writing on X, 'My Heart goes out to the friends and family of Dylan Grant. This is a heartbreaking loss for Wyoming and the entire Rodeo community. My prayers are all with you in this difficult time. '
Jeanes wrote in a message on Facebook: 'He [Grant] Went out with his boots, and I hope I am so happy. My heart is broken today, I think everyone who was there feels the same.
“The paramedics came to him within 20 seconds after he was set. They did everything they could. Every time we get into the arena, we know it can happen, but we never think it will. God bless Dylan Grant and his family. '

Family friend, Cyd Davidson, said the Cowboy State Daily: 'He was an absolute, great guy. He was so friendly and so compassionate, and he was just a family -oriented child. '
