IndiGo BLR flight faces tail impact during takeoff from Delhi; DGCA ground staff | India News – Times of India


NEW DELHI: An IndiGo Flight Delhi-Bengaluru had a tail kick during take-off from IGI airport on September 9. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has grounded the crew operating the aircraft flight 6E-6054 on Airbus A321neo (VT-IBI).
It is learnt that the aircraft had suffered a tail impact during take-off, which left significant signs of damage. The same was discovered in Bengaluru when an engineer of the airline was inspecting the aircraft for the next flight. According to sources, data of this flight has been sent to Airbus for review. The DGCA is investigating this incident.
In a statement regarding the incident, IndiGo said, “On 9 September 2024, an IndiGo A321 was grounded at Bangalore due to a tail buffeting. The aircraft is currently under maintenance and will be operational after necessary repairs. The incident is under investigation.”
