Influencer hit out when she showed up at a wedding with her underwear on display
A WEDDING guest has been branded ‘clingy’ and ‘attention seeking’ after showing off her very revealing outfit.
Her sheer dress sparked a debate online about what really constitutes appropriate wedding attire, with some saying she looked ‘stylish’ while others thought the daring look was ‘insane’.
Influencer Jade Yarbrough spent £500 on Australian brand Carla Zampatti’s flowing light blue dress to wear on her friend’s big day.
The outfit – which is sold in three pieces: a £50 ‘full slip’, a £200 ‘mesh bodysuit’ and a £250 statement skirt – was teamed with a pair of classic black heels and a clutch.
But the ensemble divided opinion after Jade shared it with her 17.6k followers in a series of posts.
“Not appropriate and I’m just trying to get attention,” one person said after seeing her look Facebook.
A second shouted: “It’s tacky, messy.”
“A disgusting grab for attention,” chimed in a third.
That said, comments on Jade’s Instagram post were more positive, with many appreciating her fashion risk.
One follower gushed: “Oh my god, that outfit! Absolute perfection.”
“Girl this dress,” wrote a second.
And a third agreed: “I love this.”
It looks like the bride had no problem with the sheer outfit, as she also commented on her Instagram post.
“Thank you for coming to celebrate with us! What an incredible weekend, feeling the love,” she wrote.
And she wasn’t the only guest who opted for a see-through outfit while posing next to fellow influencer Bernadette Fahey who wore a green lace midi dress.
Like Jade’s, the green dress left little to the imagination, with sheer lace layered over a matching green strapless bodysuit.
Jade isn’t the first person to cause a stir with the blue see-through dress.
Married at first sight star Jules Robinson also wore the dress to the 2024 Marie Claire Women of the Year Awards Sydneybut opted for a nude bra instead of the lacy blue bra Jade wore.
The 41-year-old received a lot of compliments and fans were quick to defend her when someone had something negative to say.
“I find it so interesting that so many women felt like they could voice their opinion about your dress,” one person wrote.
