Influencer Mom Changes Newborn Son’s Name After Epic ‘VJ’ Blunder
AN INFLUENCER has changed her newborn son’s name after realising he would undoubtedly be laughed at for his original name.
Poppy and Jay Hollins recently welcomed a baby boy and announced in a YouTube video that they’ll be naming him Vinnie Jay.
They came up with the name after much deliberation, as Poppy wanted to call him Vinnie, while Jay wanted to name his son after himself.
In the end they chose a double name.
“Little VJ!” laughed Jay.
Poppy giggled and said, “I think when he’s older he’ll be a rapper or something.

“VJ!”
But when the video was shared, people disagreed with the nickname. One wrote: “Vay jay jay”.
“That was literally the first thing that came to my mind,” laughed another.
“I immediately thought of this,” said a third.
“That was my first thought too,” someone else agreed.
So, in a new youtube video, Poppy and Jay indicated that they had changed their minds, but not because of the comments people had made.
“We decided to change his name before we even knew,” Jay said, referring to the negative reactions surrounding the VJ name.
“So we decided… because Jay’s never been a big fan of Vinnie, and I’m never a big fan of Jay either…” Poppy continued.
“I love Vinnie, I really love the name Vinnie!”
“I don’t know,” Jay said, while his other half continued, “But I just don’t know if he’s Vinnie!”
But someone wrote in the comments of the YouTube video: “Why can’t they just admit that’s the reason they changed the name?
“Just laugh about it and relax!”

Someone else urged the couple to “stop being so secretive” about the new name, while another said: “He looks like a Freddie or an Oscar!”
But someone else said the couple recently came up with a name during a live broadcast.
“They said during their live broadcast that they wanted to call him either Cole or Jude,” they wrote.
“And at the end of the concert they decided to call him Jude Jay Porter, nicknamed JJ, but I’m not 100% sure if they kept that name.”
