Inside America’s most expensive mobile home parks and gleaming beachside trailer parks where single-family homes can easily cost millions
Multi-million dollar mobile homes are appearing on the market in exclusive seaside resorts favored by celebrities and the super-rich.
Real estate prices have soared across the country, especially in California and New York. They reached record highs in cities such as Los Angeles and Manhattan.
And while a mobile home, often with no more than one bedroom and one bathroom, may seem like an effective cost-saving measure, the newest properties on the market are far from a bargain.
That includes a $3.2 million, 6,500-square-foot home that went on the market Thursday in Montauk, a glitzy New York hamlet known for its beaches and scenic views.
The home has two bedrooms and one bathroom and is currently the most expensive active home in the Montauk Shores mobile home park.
