Inside Primark’s Grinch-themed cafes with milkshakes and waffles from Cindy-Lou Who
THE Grinch may have stolen Christmas, but Primark has brought it back with the launch of a range of new festive cafes themed around the much-loved character.
The retailer has collaborated with Dr. Seuss to create a Grinch’s green den with a limited-edition menu in six Primark cafe locations across the UK.
Primark’s Grinch Cafe is sure to be a hit with fans of the furry character, offering everything from green waffles and shakes to get into the anti-Christmas spirit.
There are also festive toasties and hot drinks to warm up even the iciest drinks hearts.
Customers can enjoy a variety of dishes including ‘Holiday Cheer’ waffles with ice cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate orange pieces and popping candies, tasty turkeybrie and cranberry toasties and specialty drinks such as the ‘Strawberry Cindy-Lou Who’ milkshake and a mince pie iced latte.
The Grinch cafe has opened in Primark stores in Birmingham, Manchester Trafford, Manchester Market Street, Cardiff, Braehead and Edinburgh until the end of December.
The furry green icon – played by Jim Carrey in the hit 2000 film – has become a beloved character over the years for both children and adults.
After treating themselves to themed drinks and food, shoppers can check out Primark’s new Grinch-inspired range.
From matching themed pajamas for the whole family, to comfy slippers and even Grinch stockings, you can turn your home into a haven for Who-ville this year.
Shoppers are already getting excited to pick up items from the collection based on the Christmas-hating Dr. Seuss character.
First up were their matching Grinch pajamas, which could be perfect to wear on Christmas Day.
They have some comfy options, from fuzzy onesies to mix-and-match loungewear – and they were even cute baby clothes.
Primark said: “Available for Click & Collect in selected UK stores or to check stock at your local store.”
On TikTok they displayed items from the full range, including cushions, slippers and a travel pillow.
Primark is known for releasing collections on popular franchises such as Harry Potter and Disney films, so this could be the perfect holiday launch.
Sarah Jackson, Director of Licensing, Primark said: “Our Grinch range is back and bigger than ever in stores.
“We’re so excited to roll out our great café experience across some of our locations across the UK, bringing a touch of mischief to our customers this festive season.
“Whether you’re stopping by for a sweet treat or stocking up on pajamas and gifts for the whole family, we have everything you need to make it an unforgettable Grinch Mas!”
Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?
How does Primark do it? Continue to provide trendy items at such incredible prices? According to the bosses, it is still only four points.
- They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
- They “do very little advertising”
- Although their clothing offers the “latest trends”, they “do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
- And finally, they try “to be as efficient as possible in transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our T-shirts so they can be placed directly on the shelves.”
