According to News CorpBennett highlighted the players’ attitude, fitness and work ethic in a relentless battle after visiting the club’s Maroubra base on Wednesday, insisting the rest of the league has no fear of a match against them.

Bennett’s tirade is backed by officials at the club, who are adamant that the squad needs strict measures if they want to compete in the finals again next season.

It was a tough campaign for the Bunnies, who finished 16th with just seven wins, while the superstar fullback was in the news for his white powder scandal at the end of the season.

According to the same outlet, Mitchell and Bennett had a private conversation in Sydney, but the details of the conversation have been kept secret.

Bennett has not officially started his new job yet, as he is under contract with the Dolphins through October 31.
