iOS 18 now available to download in India on these iPhone models

iOS 18 began rolling out globally, including in India, by Apple on Monday. The new update for iPhone was first previewed at the 2024 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, with various developer and public beta updates rolling out in the weeks that followed. It’s available to download now for iPhone users in India, bringing system-wide improvements including new ways to customize Home and Lock screens, redesigned apps, and more. Apple will bring features powered by Apple Intelligence — the company’s suite of artificial intelligence (AI) tools — to supported iPhone models next month.

iOS 18: Is Apple Intelligence Included?

While iOS 18 is available to download now, Apple Intelligence won’t be included in the update. The Cupertino-based tech giant heavily touted its new AI suite during its WWDC 2024 event, as well as alongside the new iPhone 16 models. However, features like writing tools, object removal tools, and web page summaries won’t arrive until next month with the iOS 18.1 update. Meanwhile, some of the most anticipated features, like the new generative AI-powered Image Playground, will roll out to users later next year.
