IP University student jumps to death from hostel building | India News – Times of India
NEW DELHI: A 25-year-old student died on Sunday after allegedly committing a crime suicide by jumping from the seventh floor of his hostel into the IP University in southwest Delhi, officials said. Delhi Police said in a statement that a call was received at Dwarka North police station at 6.20 pm about a student who had committed suicide.
Police arrived on the scene and the student was identified as Gautam Kumara resident of Vaishali in Bihar.
“He was a first year MBA student at IP University Main Campus in Sector-16. He committed suicide by falling from the 7th floor of the hostel buildingThe body of the deceased was transferred to DDU Hospital for the postmortem“The police investigation and investigation procedure in this case is ongoing,” the police statement said.
There was no immediate response from the university administration.
According to sources, the student was angry after being expelled from the boarding school for celebrating a birthday party.
According to reports, some of his classmates shouted slogans against the school board.
