The iPhone 16 series is expected to launch during Apple’s September 10 event. Following the trend of the past, Apple’s flagship smartphone lineup could consist of four models, with the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max topping the models. While speculation has been high that these handsets will come with various internal upgrades, a new report has now hinted at a new color scheme debuting this year, alongside design tweaks to the camera system.
iPhone 16 Pro color scheme (leaked)
In a after on X (formerly Twitter), tech blogger Emkwan (via Wccftech) shared a short video teaser originally leaked by a Dubai-based retailer that reportedly accompanies the iPhone 16 Pro. According to the teaser, Apple could launch a new Coffee colorway with a brown finish for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max this year.

While a similar color scheme was previously mentioned, it was reported to be Gold Titanium. However, the latest leak hints at a different possibility.
Additionally, the camera island of the alleged smartphones could also sport a two-tone finish, with the camera lenses featuring a circular silver ring, while the outer frame still appears to have a square brown ring – a different color accent than the body of the device.
This development builds on an earlier leak that showed the iPhone 16 Pro Max dummy unit in a new Desert Titanium color scheme. Rather than a gold finish, it reportedly leans more towards a brown finish, similar to the reported Coffee Brown colorway. Similar to previous Pro models, it also features a matte textured rear panel with a chrome finish on the side rails.
iPhone 16 Pro specs (expected)
The iPhone 16 Pro will reportedly feature a 6.3-inch display, 0.1-inch larger than its predecessor. It could be powered by the A18 Pro chipset, which is likely to support Apple Intelligence – the company’s suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features for the iPhone. In terms of optics, it is speculated to feature a higher-resolution 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Additionally, the phone is also said to get the tetraprism telephoto lens that Apple introduced with the iPhone 15 Pro Max last year.
