iPhone 16 reportedly delivers 30% more power for gamers
The new iPhone 16 will deliver improved gaming experiences, Apple says, with 30 percent higher sustained performance than last year’s model. You’ll also be able to play more games in general, including additional AAA titles, on your new phone. AAA video games are big releases from top publishers, often with bigger budgets and cutting-edge graphics technology. If you plan on doing more gaming on your iPhone, you can look forward to everything from poker-style titles like Balatro to controller-enabled adventures, all made better on the latest and greatest iPhone (one of our favorites is the Backbone).
During Apple’s “Glowtime” event on Monday, the tech company said its new A18 chip, thermal enhancements and improvements to the iPhone 16’s GPU will enable better hardware-accelerated ray tracing and faster performance. Games like War Thunder Mobile will be able to create more realistic lighting effects, such as sunlight on the ocean, and higher frame rates than software acceleration, the company demonstrated in a video.
