iQoo 13 key specs leaked, said to come with this chipset
The iQoo 13 is rumored to go official later this year as a successor to the iQoo 12 that was unveiled last year. While Vivo’s sub-brand is keeping mum on the specifications of the iQoo 13, a Chinese tipster has provided some insight into its design and key specifications. Like its predecessor, the iQoo 13 is also said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset. It is said to feature a 2K resolution OLED display. The iQoo 13 is said to feature a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup.
iQoo 13 specifications (leaked)
Tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) on Weibo posted some details about the iQoo 13 rumors. According to the leak, the handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. The tipster claims that Chinese component maker BOE will provide a flat OLED panel with a 2K resolution for the upcoming phone.
A machine-translated version of the post says that “the design of the screen shape has been updated across the board,” but it’s not clear if there’s any change to the screen size of the successor to the iQoo 12, which has a flat 6.78-inch OLED display.
The upcoming smartphone is said to come with a slightly bigger battery than the iQoo 12. The tipster claims that the battery capacity will start with the ‘number 6’, which indicates that it could house at least a 6,000mAh battery and will not support wireless charging. The phone’s camera setup is likely to be similar to its predecessor. It is expected to feature a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the rear.
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about the iQoo 13. An earlier Weibo post from the same source had reported that the device will support 100W fast charging. It was said to feature a periscope telephoto camera with up to 3x optical zoom. It could also feature a single-point ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner. It is likely to feature a metal mid-frame and a glass back. It could offer IP68 or IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
The iQoo 13 is expected to be announced in November after the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 goes official in late October. The iQoo 12 series was initially launched in China in November 2023. The vanilla iQoo 12 was later launched in India in December with a price tag of Rs. 52,999 for the 12GB+256GB configuration.
