iQOO 13 teased to measure 7.99mm thickness; Will see price increase
iQOO 13 is all set to launch on October 30 in China. As the launch date approaches, there’s no shortage of teasers and rumors surrounding the flagship phone. Recently, the price of the upcoming smartphone has been discussed, and it seems that it will cost more than its predecessor: iQOO 12. It has been confirmed that the iQOO 13 will have a 7.99mm thick construction. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and features a BOE Q10 8T LTPO OLED display with 2K resolution.
iQOO 13 may cost more than its predecessor
iQOO’s product manager Galant V on Weibo (via ITHome) said the iQOO 13 price increase is “inevitable”. The company official stated that production costs have increased by hundreds of yuan. However, the official did not reveal how much the price increase could amount to.
For reference, the iQOO 12 was launched in China with a starting price of CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 47,000). Previously, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that iQOO 13 will not see a price hike and will stick to the CNY 3,999 price tag for the base option of 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage.
Meanwhile, iQOO has been teasing the specs of iQOO 13 via its official Weibo handle. The flagship is confirmed to have a 7.99mm thick body and pack a 6,150mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. The battery uses third-generation silicon anode material and the 100W Programmable Power Supply (PPS) protocol (translated from Chinese).
We previously learned that the iQOO 13 will run on the Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform and will include a self-developed Q2 gaming chip for gaming. It will feature BOE’s Q10 8T LTPO OLED display with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It comes with OriginOS 5 and has dual speakers. It is teased to be available in black, green, gray and white.
