BUYERS are divided over Rita Ora’s latest Primark collection, which has been compared to a school uniform.

The autumn collection ‘Lazy Daze’ is available in stores nationwide from Tuesday, with items starting from just £3.

The collection combines an old school vibe with a new school attitude and features classic, preppy items for the modern trendsetter.

Rita, 33, singer of Anywhere, talks enthusiastically about the new collection: “I am so proud and happy that my latest collection is now available at Primark!

“Each collection appeals to me more than the previous one.

“Over the past year I have really put together a range of timeless, trendy and on-trend pieces that suit every season.

“This one’s preppy, this one’s Clueless, this one’s eclectic Grandpa.”

Primark bosses added: “Rita’s style school is here! And the best part? No exams, just top-notch fashion for AW24 and beyond.”

The collection includes a pleated midi skirt with buckle and check pattern for £22, an oversized polo shirt for £14 and a pleated mini skirt for £14.

There are also several knitted vests for the ‘opacore’ look.

Wondering what grandpacore is? Also known as “eclectic grandpa,” this emerging trend is inspired, as the name suggests, by how a grandpa typically dresses.

Think of nostalgic, retro and gender-neutral items where comfort comes first.

‘Gorgeous’ shout Primark shoppers as they rush to get their hands on viral £26 Rachel Green boots

Primark stores across the country, including Edinburgh and Glasgow’s Sauchiehall Street, have been sharing snippets of the autumn collection on social media.

And shoppers are raving about the singer’s fall collections.

One of them said enthusiastically: “I think this is her best collection yet. I actually really like most of it.”

A second wrote: “They’re really aimed at high school girls I think. But I do like some of the items like the ankle boots and the blazers.”

A third said the same: “It’s about giving adults school uniforms.”

A fourth exclaimed: “Could this be the collection that really sells???”

“This seems to be the only drop of hers I will buy,” added a fifth.

Meanwhile, a sixth added: “Oooo, Miss Rita said I don’t play anymore. I heard you all.”

However, others believe that the new collection is not the best.

“Soon it’ll all be on sale for £5,” someone joked.

Someone else insisted: “Rita Ora would never wear this.”

“Rita Ora… the thing flopped,” sighed another.

And a sixth sighed: “Rita Ora’s collections are so random.”

Rita Ora released her debut collection for Primark in September last year, allowing fashion fans to shop her “famous style for less”.

Her latest fall collection marks her fifth collaboration with the retail giant.

Why is Primark the place to go for bargains?

HOW does Primark do it? Keep delivering on-trend items at such unbelievable prices? According to bosses, it comes down to four things.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to them they can save by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • Although their clothes represent the “latest trends”, “they do not use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And finally, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores.” This includes things like “asking suppliers to package our t-shirts so they can go straight on the shelves.”
