It is official, Android users: Instagram pulled your battery off, but there is now a solution

Do you think the battery life of your Android -Smartphone has recently fallen faster than normal? The perpetrator may have been identified.
Android -users notice, and Android -users Reddit have speculated that the Instagram app is responsible. In the comparisons of the battery drain with other apps, the social media app of Meta seemed to consume much more of their capacity than it should be for the amount of use.
A redditor, with a Samsung Galaxy A53, noted that 54 minutes of Instagram screen time used 12.4% of their battery capacity, while 49 minutes of WhatsApp Screen time was only used 2.4%.
Google has now arrived to apparently confirm what many suspected. In one Advice message Entitled “Battery Drain on Android Devices”, posted on the Android Support site, identified a Google Community Manager Instagram as the cause of the aforementioned drain, and urged their Instagram -app to work immediately at Android users.
How to solve the problem of the Instagram battery
The newest build of the app at the time of writing (Build 382.0.0.49.84) seems to solve the problem, so if you notice that your smartphone loses the battery power faster than expected, it is worth ensuring that you have downloaded this update.
Of course there are many other ways to extend the life of your battery. These vary from placing unused apps to sleep (go to Settings> Battery> Limits for background use) to switching on power savings or using a dark mode.
