It looks like the Samsung Buds 3 Pro are finally on their way, after being delayed due to quality
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are Samsung’s latest flagship buds, but Samsung stopped shipping them almost immediately after their launch event: Early buyers reported some quality control issues (one of which we were able to reproduce) and Samsung took the unusual step of halting shipments altogether. But the issues appear to have now been resolved, and the buds are shipping again.
The reason the shipments were halted was that Samsung didn’t want to risk more underperforming earbuds reaching customers, so not only did it fix the production issues, it also decided to retest the Buds 3 Pro, which had already undergone quality control tests. That meant a frustrating delay for pre-order buyers, but it should also mean that no one now receives earbuds that don’t meet their expectations.
What was the problem with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro?
It wasn’t just one problem, but multiple. The first reports of issues concerned the earbuds, which were so delicate that they were easily torn by accident, and we pointed this out in our Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro review . But then came reports of other issues, including poor workmanship, incorrectly placed Blade Lights – so the LED strip that was supposed to be in the left earbud was in the right, and vice versa – and uneven gaps between sections.
These kinds of issues are supposed to be caught in the quality control process, but that clearly wasn’t what happened here – so Samsung immediately took full responsibility, apologized to affected customers, and got to work fixing the problem. In a statement on Samsung’s website, the company said, “We deeply apologize for the quality issues that occurred on some products purchased during the pre-sale period… we will carefully inspect all processes and do our best to prevent similar incidents from happening again.”
Now that shipping appears to have resumed, customers can expect their orders to arrive fairly quickly: according to SamMobileUsers in the US and Europe have now received their orders, and others’ order status pages are showing updated delivery dates.
