It seems like the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is getting closer
Just a few days ago we heard that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE would be released in October, and now we have another hint that this mid-ranger will hit the market soon.
According to 91mobilesThe Galaxy S24 FE has gone through the certification process of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), a mandatory step for gadgets before they are sold to consumers in the country.
The product number used in the BIS filing is the same as the one we saw on a support page on Samsung’s own site. It seems that all preparations are being made for the launch of this cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S24.
If you’re new to the FE (Fan Edition) series, that’s the label Samsung uses for the more affordable versions of its flagships. The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE launched in October 2023, so we’re getting closer to the point where a successor is expected.
The rumors so far
Good morning #FutureSquad! Here’s finally your very first look at the #Samsung #GalaxyS24FE (360° video + razor-sharp 5K renders + dimensions)!😏From @GizNext 👉🏻 pic.twitter.com/kDeSi1GIxFJune 15, 2024
We’ve heard plenty of rumors about the Galaxy S24 FE. The device will apparently get a larger battery and a brighter display compared to the Galaxy S23 FE model, which would be two worthy upgrades.
However, it is also said that the camera setup of the new phone will be exactly the same as that of the current model. So don’t expect much improvement in terms of photo and video capabilities.
An October 2024 launch is something that has been mooted before, and would fit in with last year’s schedule. We didn’t actually get a Samsung Galaxy S22 FE – perhaps because the Galaxy S21 FE didn’t arrive until fairly late in January 2022.
We’ve even seen leaked renders showing off the Galaxy S24 FE’s appearance, and it looks like there will be multiple colors to choose from. As soon as Samsung makes any of these official, we’ll let you know.
