‘It’s a lot of cleavage,’ people shout as a woman unveils a £179 wedding dress
IT can be tricky deciding what to wear to a wedding, but one rule that applies to guests is that you can’t stand the bride on stage.
One woman decided to run her outfit option past people on Reddit to see if they thought it would be appropriate, and they didn’t hold back with their opinions.
She wrote: “Is my wedding dress fitted?”
The wedding guest then showed off photos of House of CB’s Coquette stretch cotton sweetheart neck midi dress, which she chose in the gray ‘smoke’ shade.
The stunning dress – which retails for £179 – features halter straps and a plunging neckline, which many people consider inappropriate for a formal family wedding.
The woman told how she sent a photo of the dress to the bride, who asked if the neckline would be “too revealing”.
The wedding guest argued that her own cleavage was not as large as the model’s, so it would not look as noticeable as the model’s.
However, many people said the dress was a clear no, claiming the bride had hinted she wasn’t happy with it.
One person wrote: “If the bride says it’s too revealing that’s the only response that matters.”
Another added: “The bride said no without saying no. More opinions won’t change that.”
A third commented: “It’s not necessarily too much for any wedding but it is a lot of cleavage for a family wedding in general and it’s clearly too much for that bride in particular.”
Meanwhile, a fourth said: ‘If the bride asks you about the cleavage that’s all you need to know. The answer is no.”
