Simone Holtznagel and Jono Castano have split, just three months after having their daughter Gia.
Celebrity personal trainer Jono confirmed nine weeks ago, sometime in late May, that he and Simone had decided to split.
Jono told Daily Mail Australia exclusively: ‘We decided it was best for her to spend time with her family in Wollongong.
“Who knows what the future holds. Our idea is to just be the best parents for Gia right now.”
The split came about nine weeks after the couple gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Gia, on Easter Sunday.
The couple is believed to still be on good terms and are focusing on raising their beloved daughter together.
News of their split came just hours after Simone posted a cryptic quote about “moving forward” on her Instagram Stories.
On Monday night, Simone posted a thinly veiled message on Instagram in which she said she was putting her own happiness first, in what appeared to be a reference to their divorce.

The quote read: ‘You don’t have to feel guilty moving on if you’ve given someone multiple chances to improve or change and they haven’t.
“Everyone has limits and it’s important to look out for your own well-being. If you’ve tried to help or waited for them to change their behavior but things haven’t changed, it’s okay to choose what’s best for you and move on.
“It is essential to prioritize your own happiness and peace, especially if you have been patient and understanding for a long time.”
Simone currently lives with her family in Wollongong, while Jono remains in Kensington, New South Wales, where he runs the Acero gym, which he founded with his ex Amy.
When news of their split broke on Tuesday, Jono took to his Instagram Stories to reveal that he had slept with his dog at the gym.
Their split came just days after they went on a trip to Tasmania with Jono’s ex Amy Castano and her new partner Aaron Evans.
