ITV presenter set on Mad Dash from Epsom Derby after Son had qualified for us

ITV Racing Pundit Jason Weaver has had a big headache after he has seen his son qualify for the US Open.

Weaver, 53, worked for their reporting from Epsom last weekend for the broadcaster and returns to the TV screens of viewers for the coverage of Royal Ascot.

However, Weaver had to undergo a crazy dashboard to see his son, Tyler, and to play his punditry tasks.

It comes after the English golfer Tyler has qualified for the third major of the year as one of the three amateurs who took five available places in Atlanta last Monday.

And that will see him come across with people like Rory Mcilroy And Scottie Scheffler On the Green of Oakmont County Club.

The event starts on June 12 and runs until June 15.

But he will fly back directly to the UK for ITV Ascot tasks.

The famous Race event starts on June 17 and runs until June 21.

Tyler said the qualification was: “above that with my greatest achievement”.

In the meantime, Weaver Sr said: “I am super, super proud because I know the hard work that stopped.

“You have to use such a shift to achieve that kind of level, because it is about the physical side of things and the skill and it is a big achievement.

“It will be even more special with his older brother Max Caddying, and Tyler has made his qualification timed to perfection in my opinion.

“The Oaks on Friday, the derby on Saturday, we will fly to Oakmont on Sunday and return to the UK the following Sunday before we go to Royal Ascot right away.”

When playing at the US Open, Tyler added: “Playing in a big championship is a dream of mine and it is still not completely sunk because I will look up in Oakmont.

“I am very lucky that I have the support network that I do and this would not be possible without them.

“My family is just as excited as me.”

Tyler is currently in the top 30 for the world amateur Golf Rankings.

In 2023 he won the English Boys’ Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship and was second in the English Amateur 2023.
