I’ve never had Botox and people look twice when they hear my real age
One mother said that strangers are always shocked when she tells them her age and think she is more than ten years younger than she actually is.
Wrinkle-free Jessica Wright has three children and is 42 years old, but claims people mistake her for a twenty-something, even though she has never had Botox or fillers.
The Brisbane-based finance executive said Female: “Most people are shocked and do a double take. It often gets worse when I tell them I also have a 21-year-old son.
“I’ve certainly never aimed to look youthful, but it’s Nice that people think I do that.
“I have absolutely no fear of getting older, it’s such a privilege! Friends have described me as ‘high on life’ and ‘a solar sunray’. I like to think I am both, what an honour to be described in such terms.”
Luckily, Jessica has revealed the secrets behind her age-defying look.
She claims to be a ‘super simple girl who never believes in hypes, brands or magic potions.’
However, she does swear by not wearing makeup, eating healthy and not drinking alcohol.
She only drinks an alcoholic beverage at weddings or big events, about five times a year. That’s as often as she uses cosmetics.
Jessica tries to drink 2 liters of water a day and avoids coffee and tea.
Smoking is also strictly avoided.
The mother of three describes her skincare routine as “basic” and has been moisturizing her face daily since she was 13.
She added: “I also wear sunscreen when I’m out in the sun. I lost my dad to melanoma so I know firsthand how important it is, but sunshine brings so much joy to my soul that I never really limit myself unless it’s absolutely necessary.”
To stay fit and active, she goes to the gym twice a week to do cardio and weight training. She also enjoys hiking.
Jessica claims her back surgery in 2020 was a “super confronting experience” and that she was “scared” she would never be able to walk without aids again.
She was given physical therapy exercises to improve her mobility and yoga and pilates exercises to regain her mobility, which has inspired her to remain active into her forties.
Speaking about her age, Jessica added: “I often think about the fact that Diane Keaton and Steve Martin played 45-year-old parents in the 1995 film. film The Father of the Bride. I’m not far off that age now, but looking at the footage now, I’d put it closer to 55-60.”
She said hairstyles and clothing can play a big role in how someone’s age is perceived.
Jessica says that in the past it was thought that women over 40 were not allowed to have long hair, but that she has now thrown that rule overboard and feels liberated.
