Jake Paul Hogan: Grandson of Crocodile Dundee star has arrest warrant issued after failing to appear in court on drugs charges
The grandson of Hollywood star Paul Hogan is wanted by police after he was allegedly caught with drugs and equipment he used to break into a house.
Jake Paul Hogan, 34, failed to appear in Downing Centre District Court on Friday to face charges of possession of prohibited drugs and burglary paraphernalia.
Court documents reveal the Crocodile Dundee star’s grandson was found in possession of 1.5 grams of methamphetamine shortly before midnight on July 27 in Glebe, Sydney.
At the time, he is also said to have had tools with him that he could use to break into homes and businesses, including a wrench.
If found guilty and convicted of both crimes, he could face up to two years in prison.
Hogan was scheduled to appear in court again on Friday to answer charges, but when he failed to appear despite multiple summonses, police sought a warrant for his arrest.
In granting the application, Magistrate Clare Farnan told the court she had found the alleged offences “proven” and Mr Hogan was due back in court on August 28.
The court was told the 34-year-old had also breached two community corrections orders and “a number of intensive corrections orders” by failing to appear in court on Friday.

This comes after Mr Hogan was sentenced in March after pleading guilty to burglary, theft, possession of goods suspected to be stolen and looting equipment.
The former carpenter had a nice house, a car, a steady job and a girlfriend he hoped to marry, but his life went into a downward spiral earlier this year after the relationship ended.
Jake’s father is one of five children born to Paul and his first wife Noelene Hogan.

Paul Hogan also faced adversity with his son Chance, whom he had with his second wife and Crocodile Dundee colleague Linda Koslowski.

Instead of working in his chosen profession, courts have heard how Jake carried burglary gear and hung around posh apartment complexes, looking for opportunities to steal.
An acquaintance of Jake said he was “not a bad person, but he was completely lost.”
“He’s actually a good person with a very kind personality and a helpful family,” the person said.
“He was still so upset about his mother’s passing. He never got over it because he never processed it properly.”
Jake’s mother, Marie, declined “very sadly” in the weeks leading up to her death from multiple sclerosis when Jake was 17 in 2006.
After her death, Paul Hogan left California, where he lived with his second wife Linda Kozlowski and their young son Chance, to attend his daughter-in-law’s funeral.
Todd eventually remarried to registered nurse Jane and the couple now live in New Zealand, while Jake remained in Sydney.
Jake Hogan is a carpenter by trade, but friends have said his life has gone downhill in recent months following a breakup
When his relationship with his girlfriend ended, ‘his dream of starting a family was destroyed and all kinds of traumas from the past came to the surface.’
“He was just devastated. He lost all his friends and [became] isolated from his family. He stole clothes from shops and bicycles, and hung around because he was homeless.
‘He broke into pool rooms and slept in one of those buildings in Pyrmont.’
