Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is getting the meme treatment as fans mock the fight and its disastrous Netflix broadcast

Well, Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is officially in the books, and it was definitely something.

Fans and pundits alike had high hopes – even though deep down we all knew – that the old Mike Tyson would resurface, if only for sixteen minutes.

But it wasn’t to be as Jake Paul won by unanimous decision in what was overall a pretty sad affair.

Tyson only lands a total of 18 punches according to the compubox stats and perfectly summarizes what your eyes were telling you as you watched the fight unfold.

To make matters worse, fans were left unable to watch as Netflix struggled to meet the demand of their first major live sporting event.

Even at the end of such a disappointing fight, fans can count on one thing: the internet will respond with humor.

And that’s no different here, as Netflix, Jake Paul, and the fight itself were all subjected to the meme treatment from disappointed viewers.

An X account from Men’sHumour quickly took a swipe at Netflix when they posted a photo of the Netflix buffer wheel and the caption, “This Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight is exciting.”

The same treatment was also reserved for Tyson, who at 58 years old seemed a far cry from the boxing superstar many had remembered.

Some, including Barstool Sports, wondered if he had damaged his legacy for money.

Paddy Power took a swipe at Jake Paul, who has become infamous for fighting fighters outside their prime, their sport and in some cases both, as they posted on X: ‘Jake Paul just summoned a hologram of Muhammad Ali.’

Not to be outdone, Greg also referenced the age of the fighters mentioned by Paul, writing: ‘BREAKING: Jake Paul has challenged Jimmy Carter (age 100) to a boxing match after beating Mike Tyson (age 58) .’

Fans even turned on themselves with the memes as they referenced their own disgust at watching the fight.
