When questioned about New York, Carragher – dressed in an ‘I Love New York’ t-shirt – was quick to embarrass himself after being asked to name the city’s two Major League Soccer teams. .

“MLS…MLS…Oh yeah MLS, New York…eh Cosmos?” said Carragher before Richards screamed with laughter. Carragher then corrected himself to say the New York Red Bulls, but still did not name New York City FC – the current MLS Cup champion.

Henry, who played for the Red Bulls from 2010-2014, was then asked to name the five boroughs of New York City that he had easy access to.

Richards was then asked a question about New Yorkers’ favorite bagel topping, to which he replied “cream cheese,” before mispronouncing “pasrami” as “astrology.”

Seemingly embarrassed by his co-host, Henry turned to Abdo and asked, ‘Are we going with them? If they see this, will they get in?’

Abdo would change the subject to continue and mention that Dempsey, Edu and Davies would be joining them.

Carragher again became the center of attention for all the wrong reasons, saying, “So we’ve got Clint, we’ve got Moe… who’s Charlie Davies?”

After the laughter of the rest of the cast faded, Abdo hinted that the US broadcasting team could give a challenge to the English as there are football fields where they will broadcast.

Richards and Carragher challenged the US team to bring five players and take on the three co-hosts, saying the England side would win based on Champions League experience.
