Jennifer Lopez holds Matt Damon’s hand as the pair have an intimate conversation amid Ben Affleck’s divorce at the Toronto Film Festival
Jennifer Lopez and Matt Damon were spotted having an intimate chat at the afterparty of her film Unstoppable at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The 55-year-old Jenny From the Block singer and the 53-year-old Bourne Identity star sat with their heads close together and serious looks on their faces in a corner of the party where they had some privacy.
The Hustlers actress wore a disco ball-inspired revenge dress and at one point placed her hand on Matt’s, who bowed his head as if in prayer.
Matt and JLo’s soon-to-be ex-husband Ben Affleck, 52, have been friends for more than 40 years.
They made their breakthrough in 1997, winning the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for their film Good Will Hunting.

Affleck is a producer on Unstoppable, a sports drama about Anthony Robles, who is born with one leg and becomes a college wrestling champion, taking on the school that rejected him.
Jennifer plays a supporting role in the film.
Affleck chose to stay home rather than risk a public confrontation with his ex on the red carpet in Toronto.
Earlier this summer, a source revealed that the Let’s Get Loud singer tried to save their relationship for months, but ultimately couldn’t get past the “darkness” inside him.
“She loves him, she will always love him, that’s the problem,” a source close to the Wedding Planner actress told Page Six.
“Ben has a darkness inside him that no one else can fix. Jen Garner couldn’t fix it, all the success in the world couldn’t fix it,” the source continued.
J-Lo reportedly hoped Ben would come to her Bridgerton-themed 55th birthday party in the Hamptons in July, but that didn’t happen.
“She truly believed this was the most beautiful love story she had ever experienced and that she was finally getting her chance to live the fairy tale,” the insider claimed.
The source added: ‘She just didn’t think about who the real man in the fairytale was.’
The Marry Me star filed for divorce from the Argo director last month, on the second anniversary of their wedding in 2022.
“She gave everything she had here; her whole heart. She would have done anything to make this work,” the outlet reported, adding, “But she didn’t want to believe it — she truly believed that love would conquer all.”
“She exposed herself to criticism, ridicule and countless detractors who told her this was a bad idea, that it was doomed to failure, that there was a reason it didn’t work the first time,” the source said.

Despite the fact that her fourth marriage was on the rocks, a source told DailyMail.com that the Let’s Get Loud filmmaker was happy to “go to the Toronto Film Festival to promote this film because Unstoppable means a lot to her and she wants to support the film.”
“It’s a true life story that’s very inspiring and she’s proud to be a part of it. Acting in the film was a highlight for her,” the insider added.
‘The film is getting a lot of attention and Jennifer wants it to be as good as possible.
“She is very professional and always works hard to make her films perform at their best.”
