Jill Biden’s grudge against Kamala Harris REVEALED: The power-hungry first lady’s resentment runs so deep that the only thing worse than Joe resigning is the VP replacing him
When Kamala Harris took the stage during a Democratic primary debate before the 2020 election and suggested that Joe Biden was a racist, his wife Jill’s response was crystal clear.
“Go fuck yourself,” the then-future first lady expressed her displeasure, as she reportedly admitted during a conference call with her supporters.
And the relationship between the two women — which got off to a bad start during that heated battle for the presidential nomination — has only gone downhill since then.
Political insiders have told DailyMail.com that Democratic advisers are struggling to see past the powerful role Jill Biden is playing in Joe’s resistance to handing over the job to his vice president, as pressure mounts for him to step down as presidential candidate and let another Democrat take on Donald Trump.
According to a former Democratic aide close to Jill, the women’s long-standing hostility is “100 percent” part of Jill’s opposition to her 81-year-old husband’s departure.
Because the truth is, according to a source close to the First Couple, Jill is now the only voice the 46th President listens to.
And for Jill, 73, the only thing worse than her husband’s resignation is if Kamala succeeds him.

According to a source close to the couple, Jill is the only voice the beleaguered commander in chief will listen to
The animosity between the First Lady and the Vice President, a feeling so strong that one source described it as “hatred,” dates back to June 2019, when Kamala took on Biden and condemned him during a televised debate for opposing aspects of mandatory school transportation to desegregate schools.
“Jill holds a grudge,” a Democratic insider revealed. “She doesn’t let things go and she has never forgiven Kamala for comments that some have interpreted as accusations of racism.”
According to an insider, that was the reason she never wanted Kamala to be her husband’s number two.
They said, “Jill tried to stop Kamala from joining Biden in 2020. She hated her ever since the school bus issue.
“But she bit her tongue because Biden backed himself into a corner by saying he would choose a black woman as his running mate.”
In recent days, Biden has come under almost unrelenting pressure to resign.
Eighteen Democrats in the House of Representatives – three of them after Biden’s “big boys” press conference at the NATO summit – and one senator have now called on the president to withdraw from the 2024 White House race.
On Wednesday, Hollywood star and hitherto ardent Biden supporter George Clooney joined the growing calls for Biden’s resignation.
The diehard Democrat has been reluctant to speak out against Biden despite mounting concerns about the president’s mental fitness for office.
But on Wednesday, Clooney — who co-hosted a fundraiser in June that raised $28 million for Biden’s campaign — wrote a scathing op-ed for the New York Times categorically stating that it was time for Biden to go.
George Clooney visited the White House where he was honored by the president in 2022. On Wednesday, the New York Times published a scathing op-ed by the actor calling for Biden’s resignation.
He wrote: ‘I love Joe Biden. I consider him a friend and I believe in him. Believe in his character. Believe in his morals. Over the last four years, he has won many of the battles he has had to fight.
“But the one battle he can’t win is against time. None of us can win that. It’s horrible to say, but the Joe Biden I was with at the fundraiser three weeks ago was not the Joe ‘big F***ing deal’ Biden of 2010.
“He wasn’t even the Joe Biden of 2020. He was the same guy we all saw at the debate.”
Former Maryland Attorney General and Democrat Doug Gansler supported Clooney’s position, telling DailyMail.com on Thursday that he is confident Biden will ultimately “do the right thing” and resign.
Gansler, who worked closely with Kamala and Beau Biden when they were attorneys general for California and Delaware respectively, said he would find it “hard to imagine anyone better qualified” than them to be the next president.
He pointed out that regardless of Jill and Kamala’s relationship, “Joe Biden picked her and somehow he was elected president because he picked her.”
He added: ‘He’s the antithesis of Donald Trump. He’s been in politics for half a decade and he’s always done it for the right reasons.
“At some level, I think Biden recognizes that he can’t win the election. He couldn’t win it before the debate, and he certainly can’t win it after the debate.”
It was Biden’s disastrous performance during the June 27 debate against Trump, combined with his failed attempts to recover from it and his subsequent public appearances – a slurred radio call and an unconvincing ABC interview – that prompted calls for his resignation.
But according to a reliable source, while public scrutiny is focused on Biden’s mental acuity, the real power behind the throne lies with Jill, who wants to stay in the White House almost as much as she wants to keep Harris out.
The source told DailyMail.com: ‘Jill is obsessed with the power and prestige of the presidency and what that means to her.’
The source pointed out that in January 2022, the Marine Corps band performed an original composition titled “Fanfare for the First Lady,” which was actually Jill’s personal “Hail to the Chief.”
The melody is performed and repeated during official functions at the White House, from her first appearance until she is ready to speak.
It’s all a far cry from the Jill one loyal coworker remembered as a modest, “ordinary” woman who worked out at the YMCA in downtown Wilmington and could never be seen as “full of herself.”
According to a reliable source, the real power behind the throne is Jill, who wants to stay in the White House almost as much as she wants to keep Kamala out.
Jill played a prominent role in Biden’s campaign over the next four years
Now, according to one of them, “it’s not really about Kamala and it’s not really about Joe. It’s more about her holding on to her status as First Lady. She doesn’t want to give that up.”
Another indicated that Jill is “absolutely adamant about Joe staying.” [in the race] but if he is forced to step down or decides to step down himself, she would be strongly opposed to Kamala replacing him.’
An insider revealed: ‘Kamala never runs competent organizations. Every office, every campaign, descends into toxicity. And Jill is fiercely protective of Joe’s legacy.’
Still, a former Democratic insider familiar with the players said he believed Jill’s “pragmatism” could ultimately tip the balance.
Some argue that it is precisely Jill’s priority for her husband’s inheritance that could convince Jill to change her mind and advise her husband to step aside.
According to a reliable source, as more and more party loyalists express their belief that Biden will lose to Trump, even Jill will have to admit that the most likely outcome of her husband’s candidacy will be one that “throws his legacy in the trash.”
And even her hatred for Kamala can’t match that.
