Knots Landing icon Joan Van Ark was spotted for the first time in more than three years while shopping in Los Angeles last week.

DailyMail.com spotted the 78-year-old actress in sportswear, with a sweater around her waist, high brown boots and her blond locks tied in a ponytail.

She was seen getting in and out of her car, taking off her blue face mask and heading for her solo trip on the sunny day.

At one point, she dropped some coins on the floor while feeding a parking meter.

Joan’s character was married three times to her on-screen lover Gary Ewing, played by Ted Shackelford.

Off-camera, Joan is known to live a very private life these days as she enjoys time with her 56-year-old husband, award-winning TV reporter John Marshall.
