Joe Biden’s ‘mess’ has ‘one realistic way out,’ according to a secret document from Democratic insiders who propose a replacement — and it’s not the person who beats Trump

Joe Biden’s future remains in doubt after his debate performance prompted a series of calls from Democrats to withdraw him from their re-election race.

The president gave an interview with ABC News after the debate on Friday, which should have allayed concerns but only served to heighten concerns within the party with the Democratic National Convention just weeks away.

Biden will visit the state of Pennsylvania on Sunday to improve public opinion there.

And Vice President Kamala Harris heads to Las Vegas, Nevada, this week, where her name is being floated among candidates who could replace Biden for president in November.

An anonymous document written by top Democratic aides argues that Vice President Kamala Harris is the “only realistic way out” of the “mess” created by President Joe Biden’s debate performance.

Biden continues to insist he will not resign despite calls to withdraw after he botched his debate with Donald Trump last month.

Harris, 59, is one of the few candidates Democrats are considering, but she has yet to beat Trump in most polls and is not leading in polls among those who want Biden replaced by another candidate.

The vice president travels to Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday for a solo campaign.

Rep. Adam Schiff advises Biden to seek advice from ‘people with some objectivity’

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) said President Joe Biden’s performance during the debates has raised many doubts about his ability to serve another four years.

The June 27 debate “rightly raised questions” about whether the 81-year-old “has the energy to beat Donald Trump,” Schiff told NBC’s Meet the Press during an interview Sunday.

The California Democrat’s advice to Biden:

Seek the opinions of people you trust…people with some distance and objectivity.

Democratic lawmakers increasingly concerned about their own November elections: report

Democratic Congressmen are growing increasingly anxious about their own November elections amid panic over President Joe Biden’s rapid public decline.

A Democrat in the House of Representatives told Axios as lawmakers prepare to return from their Independence Day holiday:

On Monday, when Congress reconvenes, the sh*t is going to hit the fan. People are afraid of their own races. But they are also worried about the country and about democracy.

A Democratic activist added that “anyone who’s not named Biden” or isn’t being paid by the president realizes it’s a deep hole they have to climb out of.

Joe Biden continues debate cleanup with rally in swing state Pennsylvania

Joe Biden makes a campaign stop in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Sunday as he cleans up the mess after his disastrous debate.

The President will land at Harrisburg International Airport around 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon and deliver a speech on the tarmac.

It’s his first campaign moment since his interview with ABC News aired Friday, which has only fueled concerns about his viability as a candidate in November, with some calling the conversation “sad.”

The 81-year-old also held a campaign rally in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday.

Allies, donors and even some lawmakers say the interview and two campaign visits are crucial if he wants to avoid more calls to withdraw before the Democratic National Convention next month.

Joe Biden’s campaign says it will no longer send pre-screened questions to the media, after the radio host revealed they had been given questions to ask the president.

A source familiar with Biden’s media booking activities told The New York Post:

While interview hosts have always been free to ask any questions they want, we will no longer be suggesting questions going forward.

Radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders told CNN on Wednesday that she was asked eight questions by the White House about what to ask Biden in one of his first post-debate interviews.

Voters increasingly concerned that Biden cannot lead the US through the crisis

Only one in four voters thinks President Joe Biden can lead the US through a crisis on the scale of, say, the Cuban Missile Crisis.

In a new poll from DailyMail.com, voters were asked whether they think the 81-year-old can stay awake for 48 hours, just as President John F. Kennedy had to do in 1962.

But most believe Biden is not mentally and physically fit enough to take on such a leadership role.

Donald Trump, 78, believes that rival Joe Biden, 81, should not give in to pressure from Democrats to withdraw and should try to win his revenge in November 2020.

The former president wrote on his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday:

The corrupt Joe Biden must ignore his many critics and continue his powerful and far-reaching campaign with vigor and vigor.

He continued sarcastically:

He must be sharp, precise and energetic, just as he was in The Debate, when he sold his policies…

Campaign donors believe Joe Biden is in “denial” that he needs to withdraw from the presidential race for Democrats to succeed in 2024.

The president continues to insist he is still in the race as donors grow increasingly concerned about his mental health and fitness for office following his disastrous performance in the debate against Donald Trump.

There is a growing sentiment among the highest echelons of the people and the general public that it is time for Biden to end his re-election campaign.

According to The Washington Post, one donor estimates:

For every 10 people who think he should leave, one thinks he should stay.

Biden’s gaffe-ridden post-debate radio interview was scripted, host reveals

President Joe Biden’s team gave a radio host a rundown on what questions to ask during his first post-debate interview.

In the disastrous interview, the 81-year-old appeared to have fallen into even further cognitive decline because he referred to himself as a black woman. And now it turns out the interview was staged.

Philadelphia radio station WURD was sent eight questions to ask the president.

Journalist Andrea Lawful-Sanders says she ended up asking four, even though Biden still messed up.

The president made headlines after he said he was a “black woman,” apparently to celebrate his nomination of Kamala Harris as vice president.

While his gaffe has been dismissed as a slip of the tongue, critics — including many within his own party — say Biden needs to do better after his disastrous debate performance.
