Two recalls confirmed the sitting, Justice Allison Riggs, who won with 734 votes in November. But the Republican candidate, Judge Jefferson Griffin, has tried to turn his loss of election by questioning the suitability of thousands of voters.

On Monday, Chief Court Richard E. Myers II, a Trump candidate in the United States Court in Raleigh, rejected those arguments.

“You set the rules for the game,” Judge Myers wrote in his 68 -page statement. “You don’t change them after the game is complete.”

But he gave Judge Griffin, who is currently sitting at the Court of Appeal of North Carolina for seven days to appeal. That means that the ruling on Monday may not be the end of the case, what it did Ping-ponged by state and federal courts and tested the limits of lawsuits after the elections.

The race remains the last race of 2024 in the nation that is certified.
