“More games is always a bad idea. I’ve talked about that quite often…” he said Friday.

On the reforms of the Champions League: “I didn’t have time to go into the details, I heard a bit about that. No time to really get an opinion about that…’

He then gave the same thought he gave in public. I replied when I said we should have more information.

“But the Nations League is one of the most ridiculous ideas in football.

“Players have played more than 70 matches and we will continue with Nations League matches (after the season). Four, five, six games with the national teams.

“I would rather UEFA take more money from the Champions League final and cancel the Nations League.”

As for tomorrow’s final, Klopp admitted his side was ‘desperate’ to win the FA Cup, while The Reds hadn’t won it since 2006.

“We’re really desperate to win it. We have an opponent who is the same. We last won it in 2006, they’ve won it three or four times since. They’re cup specialists… but we want to try, really try.

“It would mean the world to us, that’s the truth. This is a special group. We will really try against an opponent who will do the same.

“We had a final just a few weeks ago that felt like a World Cup final and now a few weeks later in the season, so I’m pretty sure a lot of people around the world will be watching this match – hopefully they can.” we use this power.

‘Special game. Massive, huge, huge. For some of us, the biggest in their career. We want to enjoy it and deliver it for our people.’
