'It's only been a month': Congress MLA Vinesh Phogat responds to 'missing' posters in Haryana's Julana
NEW DELHI: Congress MLA Vinesh Phogat on Friday dismissed allegations of her absence from her constituency in Haryana’s Julana, terming the claims as baseless and politically motivated.
“This is cheap; it has only been a month… They (referring to the BJP) are desperate. I am present here and I am not missing,” said the Juliana MLA Vinesh Phogat when asked about her ‘missing’ posters, which recently went viral.

Earlier, missing posters of the Phogat went viral on social media, accusing her of being absent from her constituency at crucial times.
The posters, allegedly distributed by BJP workers, surfaced after Phogat missed the entire four-day event Haryana Assembly session, reportedly to campaign for Congress leaders in Wayanad and Maharashtra. The poster read: “Looking for the missing MLA. The entire meeting is over, but Madam MLA has been absent all the time. If anyone sees her, please inform the people of Julana.”
Phogat, a first-time MLA, defeated BJP captain Yogesh Bairgi in the 2024 elections with 6,015 votes. A former wrestler and Olympian, she joined Congress after resigning as an OSD for sports from the railroad.
